THINK micro Kick Start 2012

Today the THINK micro group gathered for the first time in 2012 to rekindle the fire, stoke the passions and prepare for blast-off (a.k.a strategy planning). In the one hour session 15 of us caught up the last few months, we’re introduced to new friends… Before getting down to the business of planning for the year. Here are the important bits…

Tm meeting format will be – 1 hour every Monday, 20 mins for 2 or 3 micro presentations, 20 mins group discussion or guest speaker, 20 mins update on major projects. Hoorah! Getting excited!! See www.facebook.com/thinkmicro for weekly event details.

Micro presentation topic brainstorm came up with some super fascinating topic areas.. list to be added in preceeding post, very soon!)

To propose your own topic, to take on a micro presentation please email Panpan or Adele.. panpan.sun(at)gmail.com or adele.k.mcgregor(at)student.uts.edu.au

Major projects… We’re set to continue Naandi fundraising and Culture Angaan consulting. Meanwhile a full Tm launch event was proposed and fundraising for Grameen Koota was taken up by the group. Contact Matt for more info – matthew.m.fink(at)gmail.com. Wow it’s going to be a great year! Plus loads more in the pipeline..

Lastly leadership, in the true open source flat structure championed by Tm, was distributed according to key functional areas. Ideally more members will come forward to boost numbers. Like they say, many hands make light work! With the target commitment required at 2 hours per week maximum. To do this we need ideally 2-3 minimum for each area. Anyway, here are the areas and the first coordinators. Email Nath nathwiltshire(at)gmail.com if you’re keen to take a leadership role.
