Great turn out today, we know everyone’s busy with exams and non-teaching week so it was great to see everyone there!
Micro-presentations: Today we were lucky to have 3 micro-presentations, the first about Opportunity International by Steph. She talked about her internship with the company, focusing on donor research, and we also watched a video on their site. (Will update it when I can locate it!) Check out their website, and they’re taking interns soon so make sure you apply if you’re interested!
We had Alex, who’s studying his Masters in Technology Entrepreneurship in London shared some advice about entrepreneurship including to stay honest in your motivation and looking backwards is a good idea – what do you want your customers to do in reaction to your product/service and how to achieve that.
Lastly, Hasan talked about Khoombi, a company he started up with friends from his undergraduate program. Check out the website for more information about the great innovative thinking, makes you rethink who can be a farmer and how a company can be a facilitator, not a middle man.
Thanks everyone for your interesting presentations!
